What Are the Differences Between Economic Type and Standard Type Lighting Poles?

Standard and Economic type galvanized polygonal lighting poles differ in certain structural and dimensional aspects depending on the applicable technical specifications and usage periods. These differences are important in terms of project approval processes, installation compatibility, and long-term performance.

Economic type lighting poles were manufactured according to previous TEDAS technical specifications. In these poles, base diameters, flange dimensions, hole centers, and anchor sizes are smaller compared to standard type lighting poles. Due to their cost-effectiveness, they are frequently preferred in private projects where high static strength is not required and in existing infrastructure renovation works.

Standard type lighting poles are designed and manufactured in accordance with current TEDAŞ technical specifications. Improvements have been made in flange thickness, anchoring systems, hole centers, and galvanization standards. They provide higher mechanical strength and longer service life. These poles are widely preferred by highways authorities, government institutions, TOKİ projects, and municipalities.
